Pros
Smart people, and for the most part really effective systems! The responsibility you will have in the short-term will prepare you well for the rest of your career.
Cons
Staff associates are worked really hard, and there's a widely accepted cynicism that younger people will only stay with the organization for (at best) a couple of years. This contributes to attrition. Opportunities to move up without a PhD are quite limited, and the pay gap between senior and junior staff is pretty extreme (at least 4x).
