Pros
Benefits package and Employee Ownership are valuable The office generally takes the last two weeks of the year off (on PTO, of course) Employee retention is pretty high Flexible work environment, in-office/remote at employees discretion
Cons
Budget for additional hires was based on total office revenue, resulting in a phenomenon wherein a new hire would be in an onboarding phase for about a month before being dropped into the full-pace world of Building enclosure consulting. The added headroom allows the office to take on additional projects, quickly rising to the meet office capacity. Because all employees are at capacity for work, collaboration tends to be done out of necessity rather than preference. That is, if the work can be staffed at all.
