Pros

• High tech, interesting products that have a real impact on peoples' lives. • Very friendly and respectful employees. The average age here is probably late 20s, early thirties. • Nice office with free snacks, catered lunch every day, and occasional BBQs and other celebratory events for the whole office to enjoy. • Talented, smart people in every department. • Startup culture offers a laid back vibe while promoting a passion for the work done here. • Parent company The Vitec Group is supportive and allows Teradek to operate mostly independently.

Cons

• Lack of clear middle management structure can lead to needless confusion and departmental slowdowns. • Inter-department communication could use some work. • Parking can be a challenge sometimes. • Lack of career growth opportunities. The company just isn't big enough to promote everyone. I think the Vitec Group could do a better job with inter-company promotions and transfers, whether thats within the USA or abroad. • Too many products lead to priorities being mixed and some projects falling through.
