Pros
Highly skilled work force. Excellent benefits. Good training opportunities. A great place to start out a career or augment with additional skills. Generally good management. Interesting work. Teradata is the best product in its market space. Customer base appreciates the product and the Teradata workforce who support it.
Cons
Teradata is struggling recently due to the percieved threat of open source BigData (Hadoop). This has caused it consternation/confusion at the management ranks. The threat is likely real but Teradata is a great product and could overcome this with proper management action. Lately the work/life balance has been quite negative for the twenty percent who are most dependened upon.
