Pros

I've been part of the TenTel team for a few months now & I'm very impressed so far! At TenTel they promote 'One Team' & that's what we are - if you need help there's always someone there to support you, nothing is ever too much hassle. It's a young thriving business, it's growing all the time & there are always opportunities for staff wishing to progress. My manager has an open door policy and has been very supportive over the last few months whilst I got to grips with my new role. The entire office gets together for an MD update every month where we share our achievements & the MD asks for any suggestions that we think would improve a process in the company - it doesn't matter if your in sales or IT every suggestion is taken seriously & responded to. I would definitely recommend TenTel as an employer - it's a young company, it's growing every month, there's huge opportunities for staff & the team are really friendly & committed to building TenTel. Another huge positive is that we have a very cute office dog too! I'm proud to be part of TenTel & that I'm contributing to the growth of such a great company!

Cons

Could perhaps do with a bigger kitchen if we're taking on staff every week! Yes the office isn't exactly finished yet but focussing on our customers takes priority just now especially since we've just acquired an energy company & moved their office up to Edinburgh!

Pros

Colleague togetherness (only due to adversity) That is it really. There is nothing else. The cons is where the real info is

Cons

No pension. No sick pay. No paid breaks. Minimum holiday allowance. The MD is a cocksure ego maniac who uses fear to motivate staff due to a lack of structure within the company. He has surrounded himself with personal friends and members of his family. If you do not agree with something that they are imposing on everyone, then you will find you are out the door sharpish. You are often having to work more than your contracted hours due to pressure being applied by the powers that be and because there are poor customers at the end of it all that do not deserve the crap being thrown at them. The MD and his management team lock themselves away in a separate room from the rest of the staff. The guys on the shop floor are not allowed any freedom and will be questioned instantly if they have nipped away to make a coffee. Meanwhile, the room of senior management is often heard laughing and joking away. Managers will go outside for a smoke on the hour every hour but staff do not get a paid break to do this and can only go out once and time is then deducted from your unpaid lunch break. Unless you are in the MD's crowd then you can freely take as many early finishes or half days as you like.
