1. Danaher, Fortive did not understand how to leverage Tektronix Engineering strengths into businesses for the 21st Century. They instead hired Generic leaders and focused on pedigree (Top 5 MBA graduates) as opposed to Industry knowledge. 2. Danaher, a process driven company, did not have the ability to structure the company for expanding into new markets. 3. Fortive drove the process even harder by focusing on using poor performance reviews/ratings for Senior Engineers and Managers as a slimy and cowardly way to reduce labor expenses.
