At Techneeds we strive to provide a positive work environment for all of our employees and we understand that it may not be a good fit for everyone; however, contrary to what is written, we have many employees who have been a part of our team exceeding 5, 10, 15, and 20 years. Many who have happily moved on to retirement.
The interview process is very transparent and our Management team thoroughly reviews all of our benefits and provides candidates the benefits information in writing including the cost of health benefits (currently we assume over 78% of the health and dental insurance costs to the employee). Tech Needs does not offer a 401K plan however we do offer a Profit Sharing plan which provides eligible employees with an annual bonus that is intended for our employee’s retirement. There is a one-year waiting period to be eligible as with most Company retirement plans.
During the interview, it is explained that we do not hold every employee to the same standards because everyone has a different way of working and contributing to the team. Why would we expect a new Recruiter to perform the same as someone who has experience of 3, 5, or 10 years? With any job, at any company, you are paid for meeting expectations or performance standards. One of the first discussions in the interview process is that there are daily call expectations and sales goals. When an expectation is not being met we clearly communicate that to our employees so that they are aware of it and have the opportunity to improve.
Unfortunately, when there is a consistent lack of effort from an employee it is usually because they have made the choice to move on, or that choice was made for them.
Being in a sales environment may not be for everyone, and requires great deal of self-discipline. We do not believe in micro-managing and give our employees a great deal of autonomy. Most of our Account Managers and Recruiters do thrive due to their efforts. An employee’s earning potential is in their own hands. We cannot share what our employees earn in annual salaries but there is the opportunity to earn a six-figure salary being on our Sales Team if you are willing to put in the work. It does take grit and determination and is not done by just “cranking the phone”. It requires a lot of phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings to build a client base and earn trust through relationship building. This is typical with just about all Sales positions. We also provide our recruiting candidates with what the potential commission earnings could be at 6 months using two current recruiters’ actual monthly commission earnings as a gauge. It is all dependent on what each individual sets for their personal goals, and how they are going to achieve them. Making 30 phone calls a day and not connecting with or building relationships with job seekers will not result in healthy commission. The higher your weekly sales, the more you earn, as with any commissioned position.
There were some comments made in the review pertaining to company vehicles. We assure you that Tech Needs does not own or purchase vehicles for any of our employees. We are a family-owned company and many family members proudly display the company name on vanity plates for their personal vehicles.
Lastly, Management offers our staff incentive programs throughout the year which by definition are to motivate or encourage our staff members to go above general expectations and be rewarded for it. Incentives are offered on top of our commission plan and have been achieved by many of our staff who put in the effort to earn the additional incentive/bonus being offered.
We are sorry that you found your job at Tech Needs not to be a good fit for you. We wish you luck in your future job search.
