Pros
TayganPoint is a consulting firm where I genuinely love to work. Projects are challenging and dynamic, ranging from strategy to execution. Unlike most consulting models which require a lot of travel, most of our work is within a reasonable driving distance. TayganPoint has deep relationships with some of the most respected Life Sciences companies in the industry. They often choose to work with us rather than one of the bigger consultancies because TayganPoint has a reputation for rolling up their sleeves and getting the work done. I find the employees truly exceptional. Most are seasoned, accomplished professionals who spent many years in industry and now want to leverage their broad expertise in a consulting environment. The company's leaders have a passion for philanthropy and expect employees to share that value. The company is solid yet small enough to embrace a "quirky" culture. Although consultants are often placed at different locations, the leaders make it a priority to get employees together to socialize, discuss priorities and build the culture.
Cons
The hiring process can be long since the firm is always looking for talent, but must wait to win the work before they can hire.
Work hours may be long, depending on the project where you are assigned. However, there is support for work/life balance when a family need arises.
Like all consulting firms, it's a very dynamic environment and so it helps to be flexible and resilient.
