Pros
I've worked at Tattoo Projects for over 3 years, and I have experienced it grow from a small, struggling (and, truthfully, miserable) creative agency into one of the fastest growing and ambitious full-service agencies in Charlotte. The team is incredibly talented, the coworkers are friendly and helpful, and the new owners genuinely care about creating a culture and environment that supports clients and staff alike. The owners also really care about mentoring young talent, and there are a lot of opportunities for young and mid-level professionals to grow quickly if they put in the effort to learn as much as they can. Having worked at big and small creative companies prior to this, I am the most proud of the work I have done at Tattoo and am extremely optimistic about the future of the agency.
Cons
For me (someone who is hungry to grow my career at a company longterm), the pros outweigh the cons. Like any small to mid-sized creative agency experiencing rapid growth, there is always a certain level of chaos that everyone has to learn how to navigate and thrive in. I find this fun and challenging - some people hate it. The hours can be long - though, I will say, leadership makes an effort to rebalance work loads if needed to re-establish a healthy work/life balance. There are occasionally strong opinions/personalities that can be frustrating, but it is usually because people care almost too much about doing a great job.
