Pros
onsite opportunities for trainees, diverse skillsets and domains, good for people upto 6 yrs of experience
Cons
TCS with its recent restructuring has shown that it should be called "Tamil Consultancy Services". Most of the ISU heads are south indians(read Tamilian or have a Chennai affiliation). This leaves folks from Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata by the wayside. New management is drunk on the newfound power and are wielding it in a way that anyone who does not align with them does not find a place within the structure. In fact the new ISU structure has only caused a lot of good people to leave TCS. God help the customers now.. Also where TCS sucks is in its appreciation for loyalty. Salaries are not on par with the city that you stay in. It also appears that the more you stay in TCS the less you are appreciated. There is no plan to assimilate the foreign hires and they all quit the moment they find a better opportunity.
