Pros
Does your current company bore you to tears with its day-in, day-out dependability? Are you tired of being paid on time? Sick to death of getting accurate W2 forms by the federally mandated deadline? Do you feel that dealing with the same competent, caring, highly skilled middle managers year after year has made you far too trusting, loyal, and optimistic? Do you resent it when company leaders accept responsibility for their actions, and refuse to blame their inept, dissolute behavior on you? At TarrenPoint, you will quickly develop skills as a sardonic, suspicious, and skeptical problem-solver, while learning more than you ever thought you would need to know about payroll accounting, as well as federal and state tax and labor laws. Starting with the initial interviews, you will begin your transformation from upbeat, people-person to cynical pessimist. When it's time for a change, rip off those rose-colored glasses and embrace volatility as you and your family teeter precariously on the brink of financial ruin.
Cons
Working for this company involves a constant battle to force the people at all levels of management to fulfill the company's basic requirements, such as on-time and accurate paychecks, pay stubs with which to verify the late and inaccurate paychecks, on-time and accurate W2 forms, on-time transfer of withheld funds to 401k and flexible benefit plan accounts, and more. Upper and middle managers don't seem to realize that they are doing anything wrong, as evidenced by some of the irresponsible, inflammatory emails from the highest levels, in which clients and employees are blamed for the outrageous missteps of company officials.
