Positive Environment but Under Paid - Psychology Office Assistant Tarleton State University Employee Review

Despite having excess funding for the Psych Department, TSU will not approve using it to give their student workers a raise. Currently, student workers are only allowed to be paid $7.25/hr and must work no more than 20 - 25 hours per week, equating to roughly $6,000/yr on average. This salary prevents students from being able to live off campus, pay bills such as their phone or car, afford groceries, or medication and health care visits because medical insurance (including Medicaid) will not approve such a low income.
