Pros

work-life balance, pay, people- no other retailer has a schedule that allows management to have every other weekend off, ease in requesting time off, personal days for management. You are encouraged to think outside the box and your ideas are listened to. Bonuses are atainable, and changing areas are encouraged-you are not locked forever in doing the same job your entire career if you want to change. You are not forced to travel any distances that you do not want to to keep your job.

Cons

you need a 4 year degree to move up, regardless of past experience, which can be frustrating. The good side is that Target has a tuition reimbursement program that helps you to get that degree.

Pros

If you are looking for a job that you’ll be a part of a fun team environment, have the ability to learn all about customer “guest” service, retail operations and sales, as well as merchandising even at entry level great opportunity. for such a large corporation I have been pleasantly surprised by how tight knit teams are. applying was okay, there were multiple steps (videos, assessments) but overall not too bad)., phone call and then video questions before hiring.

Cons

Pay isn’t great, but for the market it’s fair. Moving up involves a much larger increase in responsibilities and workload relative to the pay increase.
