      Pros

      Great patient volume and diversity. Affiliated with best hospitals in town, wonderful office facilities

      Cons

      They care nothing about their physician employees. You are expendable in a heartbeat, particularly if you don't see eye to eye with "Leadership". You must adapt to the Kaiser culture. Very cost conscious environment. I never felt needed or valued.

      Multiple avenues to explore your passion for healthcare---utilization review, peer review, pharmacy, weight management Great EMR with EPIC Great benefits with a pension plan for retirement and 401k matching Minimal call responsibilities. If on the newborn team, call is every 7th weekend at 1 hospital, no call for deliveries (for pediatricians)

      CME stipend has not kept pace with inflation.
