-Cutthroat management
-Your voice does not matter; if you don't agree with everything, regardless of your experience and intelligence, you will be booted.
-Company is looking to expand and grow by bringing in staff from a competing, successful franchise.
-my manager had limited leadership experience and operated solely as a manager not a leader, with a "my way, or the highway" power trip mentality where employees' pleas and requests for an environment more conducive to productivity are completely ignored ; beyond reasonable expectations of new staff with more maturity, life experience, and years in the industry; Expected all staff to be able to work well in less than acceptable working conditions with very little to no training (this doesn't work for everyone; it's not a one size fits all approach, and an experienced, good leaders would recognize this).
-Very difficult to be fully productive and send out a quota of personalized sales emails to leads and clients while standing just feet away from a loud group exercise environment and constant front desk interruptions and other tasks that need to be attended to while on shift.
-Manager expects you to be able to multitask and still perform each task at 100%, but we all know from the research that has been done, that this is not possible.
-I quit a full time, stable position to work here as I was offered opportunity for growth, and was let go after just two weeks when I asked for a meeting with the new manager for us to work together to come up with solutions regarding the work environment, with no opportunity to do this, since their "mind was made up." Very disappointing experience and treatment from a company and product that I have been an ambassador for, for over a decade.
-If commuting into the city, the nearest BART station is 1.5 miles away so you'd have to take a bus from the station, or drive in and pay $13-$15 per day to park in a garage nearby; street parking is metered and has a 2 hour time limit.
