Pros
Honestly nothing except for the fact that they pay you, there’s overtime opportunity and WFH. And even this is not a good enough reason for me to ever encourage anyone to work for them.
Cons
This is the worst job over ever done in my life. Till this day I tell people not to work for them. The over monitoring and surveillance from managers and the online system itself is ridiculous considering the role and pay. I experienced so much anxiety during this role not just from staff but from the customers. They’ve made a community where customers feel entitled to speak you in such a disgusting manner on a daily basis over rewards and points. The job is not worth the stress or mental health decline. You spend all day literally glued to your screen and can barely take a break to use the toilet because they monitor how long you’ve been away from the screen and will bombard you with messages if you’re not back in 30 seconds. I’ve worked in warehouses with a better work culture than this. Not to mention they appear to have a track record of overpaying and then demanding this money back later once you leave. I’ve never had a company demand back money for holiday taken. They send threatening emails and letters continuously. All in all do not work for Teleperformance. I can’t explain the relief I felt when I finally left. Not to mention you have to go through like 10 people to get permission to even take holiday. It’s a customer service role online you’re not saving lives there’s no reason for all the difficulties except to use it as a deterrent for staff and make your life harder than it needs to be. They question every little you’d think you’re speaking to the judge, jury and executioner just cause you want the day off. Create a hostile and negative space so you feel uncomfortable to even speak to them. I can still remember having to work myself up to ask for anything. If you care about having a healthy work life balance and your mental health you’ll avoid working for this company. I did this job while at uni and now that I’ve graduated and moved into a proper professional role I can definitely say this is not the kind of work role or environment anyone should subject themselves to. I can’t fathom being micromanaged to such an extreme level anymore or having clients shout at me day in and out all because they couldn’t get cinema tickets it’s so ridiculous. It’s been 2 years since I left and I still bring this up as my worst employment situation and I’m still paying them back for apparently over taking holiday despite the fact my holiday was approved by management and the lengthy process I even had to go through to get it approved. DO NOT WORK HERE!
