Pros

They like to have fun, some like Halloween and a few dress up and participate, that was nice to see. They like potlucks. This was pre-COVID 19. Adaptation to COVID-19 lockdown was smoother than a lot of larger companies. Many people were able to transition to WFH. You can learn about the industry from a non-siloed role but that means you're doing a lot of work that really should be given to multiple people. Benefits are affordable and decent. You can see a specialist without too much fuss from insurance claims. Direct deposit.

Cons

Very limited career progression. Someone has to vacate a role for the next person to interview / be considered for it. There is a long waiting period before you can make progress. Long hours, long days. Micromanagement, micromanagement, micromanagement. I did not find the environment cohesive.

Pros

Best training and new hire experience I've ever had in the industry, and it offers cross training opportunities. Promotes heavily from within which reinforces the high achievement and customer-centric mindset. Management team is very responsive and has a user friendly system to provide feedback regarding it's vendors, customers, and internal workings. Occasional incidents of onsite karaoke or salsa dancing, and ICE CREAM FRIDAY.

Cons

Weekend on call. Depending the department it's anywhere from once a month to once every six weeks. Occasional work life/balance issues inherent with the flex time. You can work from home but sometimes it hard to turn it off. Still recommend the flextime/take home work if needed approach though. Makes school closures and winter colds easier to deal with as a parent.
