Pros
They have a lovely office.
Cons
I joined with no recruitment experience and was fortunate to be trained by one of the better managers which helped me progress quickly. However, the overall experience was marred by overwhelming negative, egotistical, and sociopathic behavior. Despite the individual efforts of a few standout managers, the company culture is reminiscent of a "Little Boys Club." Relying on the support of one individual contributor to hold up the company is NOT a sustainable business model. It's a haven for toxicity, fostering an environment where silly little men resist necessary changes, turning a blind eye to the inevitable decline of the company. The focus on flaunting materialistic possessions like expensive suits and lavish dinners creates a superficial atmosphere that overshadows professional growth. The promise of "flexible working" is a facade. Although the company claims to offer flexibility, it is only granted when it suits their needs. The demanding 8-6 schedule, especially through winter, takes a toll on work-life balance, making it challenging to maintain a healthy routine, proper sleep, and personal time. Working in recruitment is tough, but their business model seems designed to trap young graduates with deceptive tactics, draining the life out of them slowly. That’s tough! The stories shared by former employees paint a disturbing picture, and with numerous recruitment companies in Leeds, it's crucial to make an informed choice about your career path. While they provide effective training for recruitment novices, the toxic culture, lack of sustainability, and deceptive business practices make it a questionable choice for long-term career growth. Prospective employees should carefully consider their options in the competitive Leeds market.
