Pros

Nice offices Some great people work there Interesting products

Cons

Clock in/clock out system, by fingerprint, is archaic. 5 days a week on site. Disabled parking spaces occupied daily by members of the owners family. Poor annual leave entitlement, compared to other Manchester businesses. Long working hours, 44hrs in the office minimum due to lunch break. Lack of aligned business structure. Lack of development guidance from HR. No AL or WFH from October 1st to Jan 1st. Junior members of teams are paid poorly compared to other businesses. Lack of office visibility from CEO/Owner, who’s also now relocated offshore. Very high staff turnover and poor retention of talent. Immediate family members of the owner holding roles, which goes against the company code of conduct and aligned with nepotism. Family of ownership are given priority over externally recruited salaried employees in opportunities and general day to day, such as, meeting room booking being cancelled as family members want them. Micromanagement of every aspect of business by owner. People expected by owner to be available consistently to fix very minor issues. Business focus was around a world record attempt rather than staying competitive in sales during some of peak season 2024. HR aren’t given the chance to make the changes they want to which would improve the business drastically. Staff discount benefit taken away once in notice period. No defined business values. Lack of clearly defined business strategy with no roadmap to achieve. Owners decisions leave everyone else executing his ideas and dealing with the conflict it causes with external partners.
