Pros
Manager has never denied or even expressed grief over a sick day, regardless of short notice on my part. I often feel pushed to learn new things in order to further my career in the IT field. Full health benefits and 401k are often among the standard, but should be considered as pros. Frequent company meetings are held to keep up to date on all clients and current open issues, resulting in the feeling of never being "alone" on any issues that come up. The few weekends I was asked to work were well-comped. Lastly, holiday parties are always a generous and welcoming event.
Cons
One con is the lack of enough staff to cover in the event of a work absence, which has already been addressed with the manager, who shares the same concern and is active in the pursuit of a solution. The only other con that comes to mind is the feeling of pressure to learn things very quickly, quick deadlines, etc. In the field of IT, this is commonplace, but creates a sense of stress at times, even if it is typically a "necessary" stress due to the nature of the industry. This is more of a con of the overall industry, and therefore cannot justifiably be directed specifically at TEQGuys.
