Pros

Most of the junior staff are extremely warm, hard working and knowledgeable in their field

Cons

Leaving TEAM LEWIS has been like waking up from a nightmare. It takes a while to remember that it’s not normal to deal with managers who are unnecessarily cruel and domineering, to have a HR department so biased and unprofessional that they lie frequently and all confidential information is treated like office gossip, or to be overburdened with the work of 3 people with a salary so poor it couldn’t cover rent in London. I was not alone in my experience (ie see other reviews and the staff turnover rates) and I would often see colleagues in tears or being publicly humiliated by their managers as a daily norm If you’re interviewing for a position here, be very mindful that all of the claims HR sell you to sign the contract (future salary & career development) are untrue and will never be written in your actual contract. If you value your mental health and wellbeing I’d also steer clear, myself as well as others have experienced a lot of stigma and bullying from managers (mostly SLT) regarding mental health conditions. Team Lewis culture is giving you lots of alcohol on Thirsty Thursdays to numb you to the mistreatment, poor pay and lack of a real HR system where people can seek support. It’s only good for those in extremely senior positions, many of which dump of all their work on junior staff (on top of that persons actual job). The company also claims to be progressive and have a perfunctory DICE team set up - however their pay is discriminatory (this is also why they attempt to ban staff from speaking about salaries) and there’s no real diversity across the board. your career progression has absolutely nothing to do with your work ethic or performance and everything to do with the whims of senior managers
