The decision to lay off billable employees while retaining non-billable staff has left many of us scratching our heads, contributing to a sense of imbalance and instability. The sales and marketing team, in particular, seems to be sailing in uncharted waters led by individuals who, unfortunately, appear underqualified and inexperienced. However, the team is smart and motivated to try new tactics, they get pushback from the CEO and get redirected to work on his projects. This leadership gap is not only affecting the team's performance but is also creating a ripple effect throughout the entire organization. Additionally, the allocation of resources towards marketing tactics that prove ineffective is disheartening. The insistence on forcing everyone, regardless of their role, to engage in LinkedIn outreach is not only a misuse of talent but also counterproductive. Many employees find themselves diverted from their core responsibilities, impacting overall productivity. The frustration is compounded by the fact that despite the evident challenges, there seems to be a lack of urgency or acknowledgment from the upper management.
