Cons
The owner is unhinged (this is putting it mildly) and has some serious anger management issues. He needs some serious coaching and training on how to treat staff. If anything it might be best for him to be out of the picture and hire people who actually know how to interact professionally with employees. There are meetings that take place 1-2 times a day where he will curse, threaten to fire, and just go off about numbers and expectations when really there is limited inventory and what inventory they do have is faulty/defective so as a Territory Manager it is hard to make sales. The warranty is horrible and they do not provide any sort of labor replacement/reimbursement where almost all of their competitors do and they sell product at the same price point. It is hard to secure good pricing for the product when you even do have a good opportunity - if you are in the cool club they let you sell for pricing that is somewhat competitive in the market. If you aren't your quotes get denied so the inventory sits there for a favorite to sell. Management drinks weekly on the jobsite and they have the alcohol locked up at the Corporate Office only for them to have. If you are lucky and make a sales goal they are gracious enough to offer you a beverage or two. There is no vision/concrete goal that is set in place to get this company where they need to be. They are obsessed with their numbers from about a decade ago and just regurgitate everyone needs to get back to that but really there is no plan in place set by management on how. Out of all jobs I have ever held this one was the biggest disappointment - there is potential since the owner has various plants in China but the leadership in charge of spec'ing and bringing product over has no idea what they are doing and as mentioned previously in this review no plan in place on how to execute and deliver success for the Sales team.
