Pros

The time where I didn’t work here and the day I left.

Cons

Terrible work life balance. Good Ol’ Boys Upper Leadership mentality. Boiler Room turn and burn culture. 150% turnover. If you care to read about my experience in detail read on… I had the misfortune of working here. I should’ve listened to my gut and walked away much sooner. Red flags right away with onboarding. Contracts that are illegal and non binding that are required to sign up front. Such as: if you leave they can hold your pay for 6 months (Depending on your state you simply send a demand letter for final wages and can overcome this). Directors and (some) District Managers literally are comic book style villains with their personas. Upper leadership and middle management will force salaried employees to work obscene hours (60+) a week to not pay out overtime for frontline hourly employees. On top of this they not only have 10+ KPI’s from T-Mobile but internal KPI’s they measure entry level 12-14 dollar workers. Their internal POS system they use to track sales has a similar interface from windows 95 with more problems with accuracy than the 2020 election. This causes mobile experts and store managers pay discrepancies which factors into more turnover. The amount of time it takes to use this antiquated system can take hours to fact check and redo sales constantly on a daily and weekly basis. There is no infrastructure in this organization to recruit talent either. It’s a store managers job and a District Managers job to hire people using word of mouth, Indeed and employee referrals. This can only work so much and can eat up so much time and has terrible soft costs such as employee burnout, turnover, mental health, brand tarnishment and low productivity. Work life balance for leaders is non existent. Your phone will constantly ring and buzz off the hook with notifications and fire drills. There’s no PTO for mobile experts and only 1 week PTO for store managers. Benefits are a complete joke. Compensation for mobile experts and store managers is sub par. VP and Directors are verbally abusive to subordinates and down right disrespectful. Store closures are not allowed to be shared until the last minute and will terminate employees for leaking this information. There’s massive fraudulent manipulation for metrics that leaders look the other way until an investigation is being presented. Most of the upper and middle management are from another T-Mobile company called Wireless Vision or Best Buy. They constantly poach from WV and get upset somehow when it happens to them. Most frontline employees will never become a leader if they don’t have those two companies on their resume. There’s been multiple lawsuits, T-Mobile investigations and EEOC complaints that have been filed against this company due to time theft, pay discrepancies, fraud, discrimination and so on. This company will try to hire part time employees to not pay out benefits and cut their hours to force them to quit so they don’t have to pay out unemployment claims. Overall a terrible company with awful overpaid leadership that needs to be shut down
