Pros

The people and culture are great Good flexibility, current expectation is 3 days per week in office but which days are flexible and exceptions 2 can be made fairly simply if needed Bonuses are often increased if the business performs well (past 2 years we received 125% of bonus)

Cons

Not much focus on career development Seems that staff are not rewarded for loyalty - contractors or external hires are paid substantially more than people who have worked their way up internally and have lots of business knowledge Annual pay increases are not automatic Not much in the way of diversity and inclusion visibility in Melbourne office (e.g. days such as Wear it Purple and IDAHOBIT)

Pros

TAL has been a great place that is a large company in the industry but also feels close-knit on the inside. Opportunities are given to those that seek it. People are candid and passionate about their work.

Cons

Like most financial companies, change can be slow but progress is always happening. Sometimes there can be a dull in communication between management and teams.

Supports their staff - even during a lot of turmoil in the industry

Cons

Some parts of the business are a little siloed
