Pros
I have worked for T2 for over 10 years now and can honestly say to anyone looking at the negative reviews that have recently cropped up that it is not a true reflection of the company.
T2 has been a fantastic company that I feel privileged to work for. For those who are willing to actually work for what they want in life as opposed to sitting back and expecting handouts for doing nothing then hard work and dedication are often rewarded.
I started as a design apprentice many years ago and worked hard to progress up the career ladder from the very bottom to reach where I currently am within the company. T2 helped and encouraged me to learn and progress in my career with them every step of the way. I am not the only employee that this support was shown to and the other members that have worked towards goals have also worked their way up within the company to more senior roles.
Along with this I have also received excellent support on a personal level from the managers and directors within the company, they have shown an amazing amount of compassion and support through some of the worst personal times in my life and allowed me flexibility in my working hours to ensure that my mental health and work/life balance are looked after. Again there are multiple members of staff that have been shown the same support by management.
In complete honesty I have seen employees have their flexible working requests declined but this has been down to them proving to be unreliable to work outside of the office environment.
As for social events and team building, these do happen and aren't just "pizza party's" as previously mentioned in a review but it is optional for each employee if they would like to come along or not. As much as i do love a pizza party! I have participated in activities such as Golf Fang, Meals out, trips to the pub after work, Alton towers, Bowling, Spa days, bottomless brunches, nights out and go karting. As much as they try to accommodate everyone its not always possible and they shouldn't be made out to be non existent just because it was not to that individuals taste and they chose not to attend.
I suppose the long and short of it all is that like any workplace, if you work hard and show willing then there are plenty of opportunities that arise, Nothing in life gets handed out to you if you are just putting in the bare minimum. I love my job and the people i work with.
Pros:
Plenty of opportunities for progression
Exciting and varied projects
Supportive Co workers
Friendly atmosphere
Cons
some jobs can be tedious but it is the same no mater where you work, There is always the jobs that no one likes to do.
