Pros
The work is fast-paced, which while an advantage for getting lots of experience, also yields downsides like never meeting customer deadlines, lying to customers and other engineers about deliverable status, and individuals doing the work of 2-3 engineers
Cons
You will be paid significantly under market rate. You must justify your promotion directly to the president of the company (who, interestingly, seems to have difficulty expressing his thoughts in standard written English) - not disincentivizing rising through the ranks at all... Almost nobody actually has clearance here despite most projects being classified - investigation waiting to happen. The only people who work here are 50+ year olds who will never be accountable to anyone besides senior leadership (and seem not to care about actual project outcome?) and 21-25 year olds who got extremely unlucky and only received a single offer out of college. Everyone leaves within 2 years of joining due to aforementioned factors.
