This company takes employee reviews and tries to bury them. Through threats of legal action, posting bogus positive posts, and by making any negative posts visible only after logging onto glass door.

2019 and 2020 have been transition years for SSI. We have been evolving from a small, entrepreneurial organization to one more structured to securely and confidently delivering managed IT services to mid-market clients. In addition to hiring a leader to build out and drive our Project Management approach in Q1 2019, over the next 4 quarters, we have we hired two additional energetic account managers, a Chief People Officer as well as a Chief Financial Officer. Both officer positions are new roles set to facilitate the company transition - in terms of the talent we attract, hire and retain; the organizational processes used to improve client service and make stronger business decisions; and the communications processes to engage employees.

Pros

SSI has taught me sooooo much! There is no other place that will teach you so much so fast and give you the hands on experience to grow in your field of interest. From my own experience, SSI recognizes those that work hard and they take care of those employees very well. I had originally come into the company for a helpdesk position with little experience but SSI took a chance on me and afforded me the opportunity to find my passion in cyber security. They constantly push me to aim higher and reach my maximum potential. They went above and beyond to help me get to the position I am at now, they even paid for my training and my certification. In my 4 years here I have always felt appreciated, they have raised my sense of self worth, they have been like family to me, and I will be forever grateful for SSI.

Cons

The only con I can think of is that I often see helpdesk employees who don't want to do their jobs and then complain about it. I don't think that is the company's fault but it would be nice to hire some more experienced techs or at least techs that want to learn and work. Engineers have their own heavy workload so when we have to do another person's job too because they couldn't google it can be frustrating.
