Don’t be fooled - Technical Recruiter Synergy Interactive Employee Review

Pros

Decent benefits, uncapped commission, awesome office aesthetic

Cons

Where to begin: 1) Cutthroat environment where even recruiting managers will take your candidates from you and say it’s a “learning experience”. They will even take your candidate just to give it to a different recruiter they prefer. Keep an eye out for a recruiters actively stealing candidates too. 2) Blatant Favoritism runs rampant. You could be a bottom performer, but if leadership sees you “drinking the juice” they will keep you and let go of other recruiters that have earned more revenue. 3) Leadership doesn’t know how to motivate employees to save their life. They would rather focus on “not putting in effort” instead of trying to understand why morale is down. Try talking to your employees (not the ones sitting in “Sorority Row”) to get a better grasp on why morale is so low. Leadership will also go against their guidelines of promoting recruiters to a “Senior” when you hit a threshold and not promote a recruiter just because they don’t like you. 4) Company culture is basically like a high school lunch room. One manager had the audacity to ruin an in-office friendship by spreading lies to boost her credibility. The Orlando office also THRIVES on drama and chaos. There are plenty of better firms out there to recruit with.

Pros

Synergy is an incredible place to work, and I feel fortunate to have been part of the team for several years. Starting as an interactive recruiter, I’ve worked my way up to a senior recruiter, thanks to the supportive environment and growth opportunities. I love the team, the career development, and seeing my hard work pay off. While recruiting can be challenging, the unwavering support from my colleagues makes all the difference.

Cons

I will let you know when I come up with something.

Pros

- minimal involvement - consistent pay schedule

Cons

- does nothing to advocate for you as the contract worker - poor communication (delay on emails, typos, unhelpful, unresponsive) - disconnect between you (contract worker) and the client - takes an unknown, undisclosed percentage of your pay from the client throughout the duration of your contract and does nothing to help you—the consultant—after hiring you
