Good environment, laid back staff, flexible vacation time and hours. Good place to learn about the IT healthcare industry when you first start off.

CEO acts very erratically and makes huge priority changes based on whims and without consulting others. This is frustrating for employees. Also, hiring and firing decisions can be very random as CEO also acts based on whims and moods more than actual evaluations. There is little motivation to really improve and staff looks at their work as a day job rather than a career. This leads to high turnover as people find better opportunities.

SynaMed provides full training to entry level employees, embracing the fact that they have no or little knowledge of the healthcare IT industry. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the workplace after college, as you gain more responsibility as soon as you learn the ins and outs of the software system. People who work there are friendly and there is a very laid back atmosphere. Coming in at 9 exactly and leaving at 5 exactly is expected. Awesome for building up a resume, good benefits.

This is a very small company so there is little or no room to move up, making this a short term position for many. Owner comes into the office every couple weeks and changes priorities, so sometimes it is tough to get projects completed.
