You're not taken seriously or respected as a woman. They feel that if they give you flowers twice a year and a "shopping spree" with dinner it will suffice. The men get a full weekend extravaganza with massive suits and all expenses paid. There are hardly any women in management and the ones that are, are too afraid to speak up because they are not heard. Representatives treat the coordinators atrociously and are not reprimanded for it. However, if a coordinator stands up for themselves they are reprimanded. The off shifts are treated as if they are beneath the day shift. Off shifts are overworked and underpaid. There is normally no window to prepare when requested to work overtime. And if you continually refuse to work overtime, you are targeted by management. Women make less than men, for their assigned position.
