Work Hard, Play Hard - Operations SwissWatchExpo Employee Review

I've read a lot of the other reviews and I don't get it. This is a great place to work. We work hard, but we work as a team - no one is on commission, so we all work together. And then we have the opportunity to go out as a team every month or so.

We are constantly busy, which is not for everyone - but I like it. I've worked in other luxury retailers and we would spend half the day waiting around for something to happen, which I absolutely hated. Here, we have customers reaching out to us constantly, which keeps the day moving.

Working in operations here means you see the sheer volume of work everyone puts in daily. This small company runs lean, and that requires consistent effort from every single person to keep things moving smoothly. We often have to be adaptable and pull together. It's definitely demanding, but there's a shared sense of purpose in making things work. On the positive side, there's a sense that employees are treated fairly, office politics aren’t ever an issue, and compensation is competitive for the workload. The daily free lunch is also a genuinely appreciated perk that helps, also regular fun team outings like bowling paid for by the company. Overall, it's a place where hard work is the norm, and that dedication, along with the fair treatment and perks, helps keep everyone motivated.

Hours are slightly longer than usual but well compensated for it, including larger than typical annual bonus potential and large percentage raises.
