Pros
I worked for this company last year and am returning this year because I enjoyed it so much! Everyone has different experiences especially because this company has locations in different states! I got access to the pools during downtime (when there was nobody at the pool and all work was completed of course), the pool I was assigned to at the beginning of the season was brand new as the community was just built so the summer was very quiet! The work is pretty easy and cleaning was very minimal! Shifts varied from 5-10 hours and you were given plenty of break time!
Cons
Some people go on vacation or some people are still in high school and you end up being short staffed occasionally! The pay is decent but nothing you can live off of; the lifeguard position is great for high school kids or even college students. I made $8/hour my first summer (it was my first year guarding) and this summer I was bumped up to $9/hour. It's way less in other states so I think I got lucky here.
