Pros
Great discount scheme (10% off branded and 30% off own brand) Tight-knit team, loved everybody I worked with and they made my time there fun and enjoyable. If you love make-up and Superdrug as a shop, working there makes you more motivated to sell. I love make up and everyone I worked with knew this, so positioned me mostly on the cosmetic aisle and chose the most enjoyable job for me personally. Fast paced environment when busy which can be enjoyable if you like to keep active!
Cons
There is a significant push and pressure on you to deliver Starbuys, SIM cards and fragrances. In some cases this is good and pays off (especially during seasonal times) but in most cases, you can tell the customer wants to get on with paying rather than you offering a variety of different things. It gets embarrassing, awkward, and i feel turns customers off buying it more. Targets do not differ that much weekly, so you could be expected to sell as many Starbuys on a weekday when it is not busy at all as you would on a weekend when a lot of people come in. This is unrealistic, and less needs to be expected of employees.
