Having worked at multiple roles within this company, I can say that they underpay their staff at every level. Because of this, there is high turnover. It's hard to have to constantly form new working relationships, and the work was more enjoyable at the beginning of my time there than at the end. Some of the editors and writers are great, others less so. They product also suffers because of the pay structure. At below-industry rates, they are never going to attract the kind of expertise that they need to craft consistently top-notch guides. Also, there is widespread denialism amongst upper management about how often this product is used by students to plagiarize.
