Pros
Working at Sunshine House allows care providers to continue education in the field with room for personal growth while nurturing, protecting and guiding young children. Their mission is to provide Quality Care to each family each day. They also have an outlined curriculum which is a tool for success for the children and the teacher.
Cons
The problem I have come across is lots of veteran employees do not have education and are not aware of the new brain study results and other key information to providing quality care. When people who are educated come to work there... they dont always welcome us. I have seen some things that I just do not stand for. I have transferred and saw the same things. I also saw managers cover up things even district managers. Manager was not open to suggestions and kind of caused separation between older and newer employees. I cannot speak for every Sunshine House, But I saw two that has mastered Cover up.... MOLD gets painted over. They only went by the book when DSS or corporate was coming. The ratio system is often a problem when you have non motivated employees, who call out regularly.
