Pros

Met a lot of nice people, really nice work colleagues.

Cons

Usually more than 10 hours shifts, 6 days per week, for minimun wage ( AED 4000 = 1000$ per month) They also give you a housing ( AED 3200 = 800 $) and transport allowance ( AED 800 = 200 $) Even with extra hours paid, once you’ve paid all your bills you don’t have anything left at the end of the month. Everyone is worked to the bone, except the management, who gets a much better pay and 2 days off per week. I wouldn’t recommend unless you get a manager’s position. They also make it very difficult to leave, since you have to pay them the visa fees ( around AED 10 000 = 2700$) No relocation package, no financial help with your airfare if you come from abroard, and zero help to find an accommodation once you’re there.

Pros

Fast paced environment You will learn to prioritise quickly and handle pressure.

Cons

In my experience, there was very limited support or resourcing to do the job properly. Expectations were high, but the tools, staffing, and guidance needed to deliver were not provided. Over time, it started to feel like people were treated as a resource to be used, not as professionals to be developed and supported. Leadership was inconsistent and often absent when it mattered. Decisions changed quickly, planning was weak, and priorities shifted without clear direction. The business impact of this was constant firefighting, stress, and a culture where people felt disposable.

Pros

Very corporate approach to all onboarding and back office, you always get payed on time. The company gets recognised by other employees well and helps you to grow outside of the company.

Cons

The upper management happens to be focused on money alone, the team gets judged without no personal feedback just straight emails to the top management to make matters worse. It seems like each person is growing by constantly pointing flaws of others. No actual understanding or communication is done. The personal growth was is limited as the favourited staff only gets opportunities. The salary given that no accommodation is provided is rather low for the region, not even talking about the fact that part of the tips are being used to recover breakages that happen during the service and service charge is already somehow part of your base salary and is just being taken by the company. Regardless of how busy or quiet the venue is, tips don’t change that much which they are quite low compared to other companies in the region.
