Pros
-Friendly smart coworkers-I am very lucky to work with a good team. The rest of the coworkers are shy, but nice as well! -Decent compensation and benefits. -Great location. -Good work life balance-this is a nurturing environment. Not cut throat at all! Leaders are willing to train fresh graduates and see them strive!
Cons
-Lack of communication from HQ. The Chinese leadership style is reactive and it can take a long time for HQ to make decisions which is frustrating. Typical growing pain for a R&D center with Chinese backing. A global view from HQ will be much appreciated. -Inexperienced local leadership. Some act more like followers rather than leaders. -Not enough diversity. Some managers and employees are not as comfortable speaking English at work. Please keep in mind that speaking Mandarin aloud can make some employees feel uncomfortable. Leaders need to set good examples to influence. -Not enough interaction among teams.
