Pros
Enjoyed hospice work and helping patients.
Cons
Micromanagement, no overtime allowed, ever changing policies, disorganized management. When I first started here, my manager was wonderful and strong clinically. It seemed like she was pushed out and new manager and director took over who clearly didn't understand the company, roles, and processes. I was told they could not help even with simple tasks when we are forever short-staffed and could not provide support even picking up the phone ringing off the hook, and just laughed about it. It's not funny to see staff constantly overloaded, staff not carrying their work load not held accountable. Lower weekend management quick to raise their voices and assume staff is doing the wrong things or talk about other staff openly and critically without understanding common hospice workflow and processes. Turned into a numbers game and low morale. Lots of coworkers burnt out, emotionally breaking down at work, and snapping at others. Office constantly having power outages and cockroaches. High workload and high turnover.
