Overall an enjoyable working environment with lots of time off, but pay isn’t great - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Summit Behavioral Services Employee Review

Pros

Lots of paid holidays and breaks interspersed throughout the year. Oftentimes they’ll do shoutouts to acknowledge the good work you’re doing. BCBAs are really collaborative and want you to be involved in the process with the kiddos. They also have a program where you can log hours to go toward your BCBA certification, and pay for you to get BLS certified.

Cons

Understaffed often, pay isn’t great. The pay was barely livable for living in Kansas City, MO. Often times felt less rewarding for the mental toll this kind of work took on us as RBTs. Payroll wasn’t always right—either the team wasn’t big enough, or they were sloppy in double checking hours to ensure you were getting paid for what you worked. There definitely could’ve been more benefits. There were no breaks, you only got to eat your lunch with your client (which is mostly fine, but difficult with a child with higher rates of maladaptive behavior).
