Pros
- Paid shutdown periods at year-end - Plant visits for product knowledge - Bonuses (for regular employees) - Okay for those who need experience - Client side has good feedback
Cons
- Management style is "traditional" and not in the positive sense. Rigid and inflexible style of management - not accommodating even when the customer requests it. - Lots of little internal rules that don't necessary align with the company policies. - The manager always preaches professionalism and calls you out when he/she deems that your actions are unprofessional. Yet, he/she does not act professional him/herself-blurting out absurd jokes, laughing too loud, and acting/saying like he/she knows all the details of each of your jobs. - Upper management and HR claims that the salary is competitive when their salary benchmarking is not even in line with the job title. - Bad mix of HR-to-management (and vice-versa) information sharing. What you discuss to each should always be held in confidence, but somehow still makes it to one or the other. Situations also escalate due to how they share the information. - As observed, promotion/increase is not based on how well you perform, but more on your tenure. - Job description and job title is not reflective when you are hired. Without your knowledge, they may pool you into a different role or department even though you are applying for a specific role.
