Cons
Management. Internal leadership that is rudderless, sexist, and has immovable and highly incompetent people in managerial positions. Many people with decent skill sets are in place, but many soon leave or are forced out after being stifled by management that mostly fears their own ineptitude being exposed. Or simply can't grasp that times have changed and SFA has not. 2014 and SFA has an internal print dept. of over 20+ people (with no web or electronic skill set whatsoever) clinging to a work model long since gone. But no unified web design, electronic, social media,or marketing department to deliver content in the vehicle most necessary in today's market. Management simply does not understand the skills needed to move the company into the current marketplace. And resists those offering to help do just that. Petty, possessive, & combative relationships between internal depts. No pay increases for the last 2 years. 4 years without raises in my tenure. A real shame, because the cause is worthwhile, but management is horrific. It's hard to have sympathy for a management structure so arrogant and inflexible. All current employees are wondering how much longer the company will exist.
