Pros

The friends can be incredible, if you take the time to build those relationships.

Cons

Where do I start. 1. Management - The comments below do an excellent job at portraying reality. The CEO is completely absent, aloof, and mindless. Even though her intentions as a person might not be bad, she is no position to be leading a company, espectolly one of this size. Her best and CMO, is completely oblivious to the day to day operations of the company. Her fake sweet smiles and giggles are only a facade. Behind closed doors is where she makes decisions that will make or break the people who glue the company together. She is a deceiving liar, manipulator, and has ill intentions for those closest to her. 2. Employees are not seen as human- challenging employees is a good thing, but not to the point where their mental and physical health is suffering. Employees are constantly working overnight, and are held to impossible expectations, with little to no credit given by management. Work life balance doesn’t exist. Money is more important than employee heath and happiness. 3. Negative environment: company culture is absolutely shot. There’s no sense of team, and nothing is done to boost morale. Management is oblivious to how bad things are, and don’t care until their bottom line begins to be affected.

Thank you for your feedback, and it is unfortunate to hear that your experience at StyleHaul was not what you expected. The management team at StyleHaul tries each day to not only manage the continued growth of the business, but also listen and be sensitive to the concerns of our growing staff. While we understand that we aren't always perfect, at no time does the management team make decisions that are not in the best interest of the company as a whole, or without an eye to how it will affect company culture. Each management team member advocates for their teams, and works to create an environment of collaboration across divisions and employees. If that was not your experience, we apologize for this, as all the executive team strives to create an optimistic and cheerful workplace where many individuals have been promoted internally through the ranks. This is not fake, or with any manipulation. In terms of work life balance, this is a subject we take very seriously. We have rolled out many wellness initiatives over the past year and recently instituted an unlimited vacation policy to address the fact that at times our business works on unconventional working schedules. We are always open to having an honest dialogue with employees if they feel like their work-life-balance is not being respected. We understand company culture is something we need to continuously work on. We are investing more into group activities as a company, and are committed to continuing internal communication programs that connect our global company even more than we are currently. StyleHaul remains committed to the pursuit of a positive environment.

Pros

work life balance is mostly respected. my direct manager is fantastic: a great role model and protector from the chaos surrounding our department/team. nyc office is small, intimate and everyone really gets along. free food, office happy hours, and stylehaul swag is a plus!

Cons

innovation or any new ideas presented internally moves at a glacial pace for approval. unfortunately, the company can not pivot quick enough to keep up with competition in the marketplace. company having a difficult time facing reality and tough competition in the marketplace - almost in denial! upper level management (c-suite) is in their own bubble and disrespects all outside offices - can you imagine your CEO, CMO and CFO walking into your office and not saying hello? they ignore everyone and sit in a conference room with the door closed, giving the marketing team crazy deadlines and putting us in awkward positions because we would be working on projects for c-suite to sell around their own sales team. it does not feel like a unified and cohesive organization! Overall, the c-suite promotes a terrible corporate culture. layoffs happen every 3-4 months to get rid of the bottom performing 10% of the company - but headcount is never replaced.

Thank you for your feedback. As a fast-growing company in the ever-changing digital space, the executive team is constantly tasked with prioritizing initiatives to respond quickly (and smartly) to market demands, and sometimes initiatives may take longer to ensure proper execution can be achieved. The C-team has made a point to designate open office hours to connect with employees and to have as open of dialogue as desired, and management works hard to keep the business moving forward while sharing relevant updates with staff. In the last 2 years, Stylehaul has gone through one substantial reorganization, and that was to actually increase our headcount in key areas of our evolving business. Our employee count has constantly grown each year, and we are thankful to have an active, engaged workforce that contributes to the success of the company on a daily basis.
