The tech is filled with really intelligent, competent, and experienced people. I learned a lot in my time there and no one yelled at me for making mistakes. Instead they encouraged me even more and we produced really beautiful products for our clients.
Studiocom has many skilled and creative team members. The atmosphere is very comfortable and the people there really enjoy working with each other.
Cons
My primary criticism of Studiocom would be that it's still relatively new to the "full service" agency world. Primarily a project based creative shop until '07 Studiocom won some significant AOR accounts in '06 and early '07. The management decided they needed to offer a complete suite of services to their clients. Unfortunately the management is creative heavy with limited exposure to other practices like media or analytics. As a result investment in resources was not executed very well. There were many opportunities lost as a result of investing in areas with little growth opportunities and a lack of investing where their clients wanted more support and resources. It's a classic agency problem but caused many employees to work very long hours and under deliver to their clients. This ultimately lead to client losses.
