Pros

* The employees who work at Strava are very passionate about the product and what they do. You'll likely be on a team of great, hardworking people. * Working in the sports/fitness domain is fun

Cons

* New leadership at Strava has completely transformed the values and culture, in a negative way * Strava has a grind culture very similar to Amazon and other workplaces known for having an out-of-whack work-life balance. This is new, and has been directly instilled from the top down by the new CEO. * Under new leadership, Strava has gone back on values that were core to its founding and its DNA. This has been heartbreaking to see. * Strava is now the most toxic place I have ever worked, and I've worked in some toxic environments. If you're considering working at Strava, I urge you to reconsider- the positive things you've read about working there from employees are likely from before the new leadership started.

Pros

The main pros are that there are actually some really brilliant people who work here. They are intelligent, funny, and have an actual clear vision of how things should be done to deliver a great product to users.

Cons

The cons are that leadership only believes in and genuinely elevates white male voices. Sure, there are ERGs and prominent people of color at the company. But the real decisionmaking power is made by a combination of certain "golden boys" and their buddy, Claude. The ones driving the ship actually lack critical thinking skills.
