Pros

Working with this remote team has been great. Everyone is responsive and supportive and very hands-off. There's a trust that makes it easier to focus on work rather than politics. In fact, there's zero politics here whatsoever. That alone is refreshing! Other wonderful things: management listens, the company believes in data, everybody does their job. Great team to grow along with.

Cons

There's a never-ending amount of work, but that's the nature of this industry.

Pros

The job was remote, which is a plus.

Cons

Content at the time I worked there was managed by one of the owners, who was also in charge of coding. She spent a majority of her time with that team and only checked in ocassionally with content (which was only me and a guy who made videos). This meant a) she was used to doing all the content work and very particular about how it was done even though her SOP notes were a disaster, and b) she only came in to review many articles in batches, which meant if you weren't aware of how something should be done a certain way, it was done wrong in all of them and she sounded pretty upset by the 5th one, even though she wasn't there to tell you otherwise before you did five. The calendar of tasks was very full. There was very little gratitude when things were done right. Very little communication. And since you're the only one on the team but in the group chat with all the others, it felt pretty lonely. There was no one to ask questions except the owner who was busy, and no camaraderie or friends to make at work. Ended up being lonely, demanding, and felt like you're always doing everything wrong and nothing write. Disheartening. Ended up getting divorced through this time and then in a car accident and decided to quit because of how bad the job made me feel.

Thanks for sharing your feedback and experience while working with us. We really appreciate understanding where we fell short. I would like to point out that our company and teams have evolved a lot since you worked with us. We now have a content and growth team of several individuals collaborating together and a new head of growth who is 100% focused on that and the efforts of the content team. While we can't change the past, we are really happy to be able to read your feedback and feel confident your main complaints have been resolved. We are sorry we weren't more available or present as managers, especially considering the external difficulties you were going through as well. We wish you the very best in life, and thanks again for the rating!
