Pros

Free soda and beverages. Cafeteria food for employees is better than most hospitals.

Cons

They write-up most employees after every single shift. It’s a terrible/ineffective management strategy and destroys employee morale and creates distrust and animosity toward management.

Pros

Employee Engagement Celebrations are awesome. The Juneteenth Celebration was a special moment, one that I have never seen with the jobs I've had.

Cons

unable to select the floor you want to work on.

Pros

I can't think of any really. I guess that some of the lower level staff are decent to work with.

Cons

Honestly, worst Psychiatric hospital in the state of Michigan. I am surprised that they still have their license and are operating. The staff are abusive and neglectful to the patients. The psychiatrists don't see the patients for longer than 60 seconds in the hallway and they over medicate them. The upper level management and executives don't care about their staff or the patients. They back up and ensure that they keep staff who beat up patients, INCLUDING CHILDREN. They fight to keep staff employed that have documented evidence against them for ABUSE. They do not reward staff who actually do their jobs correctly and ensure patient safety, and instead they promote staff who they feel will best control the patients, physically. The pay is extremely low, and unfair; they pay men significantly more than women and offee them much higher bonuses for picking up shifts. I have never experienced such poor management in my entire career, and I have worked at other behavioral hospitals in Michigan. They cover up all of the abuse that the staff do and throw anyone under the bus that tries to do any kind of good or goes against the grain. They actually use their staff as scapegoats. The management is under qualified for their positions. They refuse to learn or advance beyond their archaic ways. These things have been going on for YEARS. With all of the fire that Acadia is under for their poor practices, they'd be better off completely gutting the staff of the hospital starting from the CEO, the HR director, and the "CNO" and working their way down. Hire new staff, with fresh minds and the eagerness to learn; people who actually care about the patients. I wouldn't send my worst enemy for treatment at this hospital, let alone a friend or family member. Everything you've seen on the news is true. Everything you read in these reviews are true. Don't work here. Don't go here for treatment. It needs to be shut down.
