Pros

-Great work hard/play hard culture -Fun environment with work out classes and free food/snacks -Due to skeleton staff model, a lot of opportunity to learn and grow is provided -Exciting science and development happening

Cons

-Benefits are not competitive for Biotech in the Bay Area, especially if you're not a member of senior management -No incentive to stay as stock options and LTI are only offered to senior level management -Abbvie doesn't pay merit based bonuses, only offers "cash profit sharing" (unless you're senior level management) -Stemcentrx senior management is great, but we're starting to transition more to the Abbvie model. If you like working for a big corporation, this could be good for you. If you came to Stem looking for small company culture, this is no longer the place to be.

Pros

Amazing culture with driven employees.

Cons

Heavy onboarding since AbbVie acquisition means less defined roles (not entirely a bad thing)

Pros

Everyone wants to work with the brightest scientific minds, but stemcentrx went one step further when team building. Our employees are high energy, passionate about science, dedicated to our mission of helping patients, and devoted to personal growth and the growth of our team members. This is a challenging face-paced environment, and surrounding yourself with the right colleagues is critical to success. Going the extra mile is always easier with someone cheering you along.

Cons

Adjusting to the demands of the work environment can be tough. Having a personal crisis can be extremely detrimental to your performance. Work life balance isn’t really a value of the company, but things are trending in that direction. Salaries could be more competitive.
