Pros

If you’re the type that like to coast by and do low value work; you came to the right place. You can even be in a Vice President role if you can survive the annual layoffs. I know one person that only had a high school diploma and lack any intelligence, but she made it happen after working 18+ years. The opportunities are there if you’re a yes-man or yes-woman and can master the office politics.

Cons

If you’re the proactive type that looking to do high value work; you will be extremely disappointed. This is not the place to use logic reasoning. Don’t even expect the person above you to take your input or concerns. Their job is to remind you that they have more power than you. They care more about their egos than having the team work effectively.

Pros

They offer resources for learning.

Cons

In my previous roles I've never felt burnout but with this one is the first I was feeling crush. I don't think managers take time to structure the tasks on a 8hrs or 10hrs per day. There are a lot of unrealistic expectations, no work-life balance at all. Even if you made the sacrifice to stay late, you will not be done with the work for the day.
