Pros

Good benefits Tuition reimbursement Location is nice, lots of restaurants nearby

Cons

-Horribly overworked. At the time I left I had about 320 claims assigned to me, way more than what is reasonable for a single person to work -On top of having to work and answer calls for your own claims, you are also expected to make yourself available to answer phone calls for your peers’ claims the entire day. -Absolutely no work life balance. When you are working, it feels like there is no time to catch your breath because you are working nonstop. And when you are off work you are still thinking and worrying about your claims. There is no escape. -Taking time off is discouraging because you come back to all the work that’s piled up while you were gone -Unable to apply for any other positions due to the hold they placed on my department. You are essentially held hostage in your position -Underpaid for the amount of work assigned to you

Pros

(At the time) Fair pay and predictable bonus structure They were pretty good at covering travel expenses and paying them back quickly Diverse workforce & diversity initiatives Fun and funny coworkers Opportunities for growth Again, this was all four years ago and has likely changed

Cons

(At the time and now, according to other comments) Arrogant to a fault Total lack of innovation & willingness to innovate Odd attachment to the company's past (which prevents progress) High number of veterans (20+ years) who are determined to get that retirement money, and therefore, are resistant to change and technology Heavy reliance on command and control management style Poor decision-making that leads to losses of all kinds
